“Ethan Allen's ability to connect residents with the community, to make gardening, music and parades part of everyday life allows for the best kind of healthy aging.”
- Governor James Douglas

Ever since the idea of creating a loving place for our seniors was first planted, we’ve been hanging our hopes on the good will and generosity of our friends, our neighbors, and our residents’ family members to help us grow Ethan Allen into the award-winning care home it is today. Our approach to elder care is rooted in the rich Vermont traditions of community-based social action and healthy sustainability.

At Ethan Allen Residence we believe in endless possibilities, potential and vitality for our residents. Our philosophy of conscious aging promotes a new journey that offers our residents opportunities to grow, learn, share, thrive, build confidence and become healthier. At Ethan Allen Residence, we do not see aging as defined by limitations, but instead by potential that can be achieved through love and encouragement.

Some of the services we offer:

  • Medication management
  • Nursing/caregiving 24 hours a day
  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • Three meals a day under the guidance of a professionally-trained chef (we take a whole foods, organic and locally-sourced approach)
  • Transportation to doctor's appointments
  • Engagement in meaningful activities and programs
  • Housekeeping and laundry services
  • Hair Salon

True healthy and happy living is based not only on the care we give our bodies, but also the care we give to our mind, emotions and spirit.

“Aging is a natural process. We’re here to tend to that aging and bring to it what can be most comfortable, most vital, most helpful for the individual.”
- Paul Kervick, Founding Member
